We were delighted to be able to welcome parents, friends, grandparents, staff and members of the Saffron Walden community to our annual event - Hampers & Champers on Friday 24th June 2022.

This year's event was held in a beautiful marquee within the school grounds, guests brought along their own picnics and also ordered food from a local catering company who had their food truck on site. There were plenty of drink options available too, served by our lovely parent and staff volunteers. The entertainment was superb, with musical performances from talented SWCHS students past and present and local musician Mr Coverman.

"This was a lovely way for parents and staff to enjoy an evening with friends, for us to showcase the musical talent of the students at SWCHS - and all while raising money for a wide range of projects that benefit our student community. We are so lucky to have this beautiful setting, and to have had the support of so many people - parents, students, staff and local businesses that helped make Hampers & Champers such a successful event." This annual fundraising event provides essential funding for projects to support all students within the school. Previous fundraising has supported the purchase of a new minibus, iPads for use in classrooms and extra eating areas for students. This year we have raised around £4000.

Thank you to everyone who attended and supported SWCHS fundraising. A special thank you to all of the volunteers and student performers who helped to make the evening such a success.
