Saffron Walden County High School is an outstanding and vibrant school with a reputation for nurturing and developing its staff. It is important to us to be at the cutting edge of current educational practice and to look for new and innovative ways to enrich students’ learning. As such, we care about giving our staff opportunities to develop. As the founding member of the Saffron Academy Trust we have excellent partnerships with local primary and secondary schools, which allows us to provide a range of career development opportunities. We also have a vibrant research community. Ultimately, we want our teachers to love teaching and to actively engage in their own professional development. We want our Support Staff to enjoy their work and take a pride in the valued and valuable contribution they make to SWCHS.
Saffron Walden is approximately 15 miles from Cambridge and is well placed for rail links directly from Audley End to Liverpool Street Station, approximately 50 minutes away. Access to the M11 is nearby, and Stansted Airport is 25 minutes away by road.
